Good Player selection-
First, turn on "Trade Advantage". Most of the time, you should select players with at leaste a couple of 8s. Defense is not an important skill. Players don't drop the ball often.

Little Trick
Here's a trick to help get those extra points on the board. When you are at bat with Ken, pause the game, and press- Left(2), Right(3), Left(2). You should point the bat at the seats. Then, if you make ANY contact on the next pitch, you'll hit a homer. If you miss you have to enter it again.
